BABY SIGNS PARENT WORKSHOP










The Parent Workshop teaches everything you need to know to get started with the Baby Signs® Program. You will learn: 

• the history and research behind the Baby Signs® Program 
• the benefits for you and your baby when to begin signing with your baby 
• effective ways to teach signs at home and what to expect as your baby transitions from signs to speech 

This workshop is recommended for expectant parents and parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 2 ½ years or children who have difficulty communicating. Early childhood educators, parent educators, speech therapists, social workers and health specialists are also invited to attend.


ON THE GROW INFANT DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

The Infant Development Workshop is designed to provide teachers concrete activities to use with babies in their care along with the developmental basis for each of the activities. Teachers will explore vision, physical, cognitive and communication development in babies. Participants will leave this workshop prepared to make the most of each moment babies spend in their care! Ideal for Child Development Professionals working with infants birth to 6 months.


ON THE GROW BABY SITTER BASICS

The Babysitter Basics class is designed to give babysitters and nannies simple signs, fun activities and more. The class is geared toward babysitters/childcare providers 11 years and up. Participants will learn signs that will be helpful to them when babysitting and will be introduced to how the use of signs supports the development of children. Ideal for Babysitters and Nannies.
